Captain The Hon Ronald Fulke Greville died on 5th April from pneumonia following an operation on 31st March for cancer of the larynx. This letter was sent to his widow, Margaret Greville. Written on headed writing paper. Family insignia. 3 Carlton Gardens SW. Tuesday written in pen. Dear Mrs Greville, I must write to you a few words which I trust you will understand require no sort of answer, to tell you how greatly we both sympathize with you in your overwhelming sorrow. Your husband was a very old friend of ours, and his tragic death will be deeply regretted by all who knew him.
