Full description
The Duke of York and the Duchess of York looking into the fountain head in the walled rose garden. The Duke is holding a golf club as if he is going to fish something out. They are warmly dressed. The Duke is wearing a tweed jacket and trousers, shirt, striped tie and flat cap. The Duchess is wearing a trimmed woollen skirt and jacket, a rounded necked top and a cloche hat. She has a single rope of pearls around her neck. It was a prearranged photoshoot for the press.
