he Duke of York and the Duchess are seated in wicker chairs outside the Tea Room. They are holding golf clubs, talking and looking at each other. The Duke has a cigarette in his right hand, his legs are outstretched. They are warmly dressed. The Duke is wearing a tweed jacket and trousers, shirt, striped tie and flat cap. The Duchess is wearing a trimmed woollen skirt and jacket, a rounded necked top and a cloche hat. She has a single rope of pearls around her neck. It was a prearranged photoshoot for the press.
