Full description
The officer is half-sitting on a 'rock' with palm fronds on either side at the bottom of the photograph. His helmet is on his right knee and his left hand is on the hilt of his sword. He is wearing 'mounted revue order' uniform, and is a lieutenant the 1st Life Guards Regiment, as denoted by the detail on his cuirass strap scales ends. On his epaulettes there are two icons, possibly Bath Stars. The Hon. Ronald Greville was also in the ! Life Guards.
