Full description
A studio portrait of Coquelin, he is in profile, looking towards the left. He is clean shaven and wears a high buttoned jacket, white shirt and striped tie. Inscribed and dated: Á madame Mac Ewan, homages trés sympathique, Coquelin Cadet Londré, 8th Mai 1889 Dedicated to Margaret Greville's mother, Helen McEwan née Anderson. There are other photographs of Coquelin in the collection. Mrs Mc Ewan must have been very fond of his work.: 1248260, 1247569, 1247568 Coquelin Cadet was a French actor, Cadet, was used to distinguish him from his older brother, Constant, who was also an actor. Cadet performed in both classic and modern repertoire, and recited monologues of his own composition.
