Full description
A fully loaded horse-drawn carriage, Chester London Royal mail, with a coachman and passangers on the roo. Four horses are galloping at full speed through the countryside. Part of the 'Fores's Coaching Recollections' series. Many of the paintings were owned by Messrs Fores of Piccadilly, who could publish them at will.
Provenance
Purchased on 21.9.2004, Christie's Sale 7013 'Property from two ducal collections', Woburn Abbey, lot 1521, for £280 (all four prints) plus commission and VAT.
