Full description

In the centre of this photograph is Max Aitken, Lord Beaverbrook, who was the principal guest at the reopening ceremony of Polesden Lacey on 7th June 1962 after the restoration needed after the fire in September 1960. The smartly dressed guest are walking and seated in front of the house.
