A group of the distinguished guests, including the King and Queen of Spain, Lord and Lady Carisbrook, Lord and Lady Pembroke, The Speaker James and Mrs Lowther, Duchess of San Carlos, Sir Hedworth Williamson, Mrs Arthur (Venetia) James, Lord and Lady Alistaire Innes-Kerr, Colonel the Hon. George Monkton-Arundell, the Right. Hon. Sir Robert Horne, Lorenzo Pineyro Marquis de Bandana, Marquis de Viana, Mr John Davis(the American Ambassador) and Mrs Davis, Lord Justice Robert Younger and the Hon. Mrs Greville.'
