Full description
A photograph of Adora Frances Olga Wells, Lady Brougham and Vaux. The photograph is signed and dated 1901. It is framed in red and gold embossed leather with an embroidered and beaded silk mount bearing the inscription ‘Une Amie’ (‘a friend’). Adora was the daughter of Peter Wells of Forest Farm Windsor. In 1867 she married Sir Richard Courtney Musgrave, 11th Baronet Edenhall, Cumberland. On being widowed, she married Henry Charles Brougham, 3rd Baron Brougham and Vaux in 1882. She died in December 1925.
