Summary
Studio portrait of Lady Snowden who is simply dressed, her right arm is bare, her left covered. Neat hair and no jewellery. She is looking directly at the camera. Signed: Ethel Snowden. Ethel was the daughter of Richard Annakin. She married Philip Snowden (1864-1937) in 1905. He became the 1st Labour Chancellor of Exchequer and was created first Viscount Snowden in 1931. They had no children. She was a socialist, suffragist, peace campaigner and Governor of the BBC.
