Full description
William II is wearing the uniform of a General of Cuirassiers with the Collar and the Cross of the Order of the Black Eagle. Wilhelm was the eldest child of Crown Prince Frederick of Prussia and Victoria, daughter of Queen Victoria. He became Kaiser at the age of 29. In 1918, with support for him in Germany collapsing and the Allies wanting to bring him to trial as a war criminal, he abdicated and went into exile in the Netherlands, where he died at his estate at Huis Doorn in 1941.
