Full description
An imagined elopement scene with a lady and gentleman in a horse-drawn carriage. The lady is looking down the road worried that her father might be coming. The young man looks on impatiently, whilst another tries to mend a wheel and reattach the horses. The household staff stand at the door and watch. Published on 1st May 1885 by I P Mendoza, New York and printed in Paris by Goupil & Co.
