Full description
The oil painting of 'The Masters Pattisson', hangs in Polesden Lacey. The two boys are pictured outdoors. William, as the eldest, is standing holding the reigns of the donkey. His handsome face is looking away. The image is dominated by Jacob, who is astride a hay bail, looking directly at the artist with his arms around the donkey's neck.
