Full description
Lady Lavinia is wearing a fur-lined cloak draped over her shoulders and a bonnet trimmed with lace and ribbons framing her face. The dark background contrasts with her light clothing, drawing attention the Countess' face. Lady Lavinia was the daughter of Charles Bingham, 1st Earl of Lucan. She married Viscount Althorp who became 2nd Earl Spencer. A mixed method of engraving signed by Samuel Cousins. The RA has another engraving of this image.
