Caption
Made by Frank Stuart Murray of Duran, Murray and Seddon this is one of a set of nine pen and wash drawings shows proposed designs for the gardens at Polesden Lacey. They were never executed, had they been they would have created extravagant terraced gardens stretching to the edge of the valley terrace. The plans do however seem to have influenced the design of the East Court. They were commissioned for Ronnie Greville. Ronnie died in 1908, it is possible that this was part of the reason they never came to fruition.
