Print, photogravure of a portrait of Lady Victoria Marjorie Harriet Manners, Marchioness of Anglesey (1883-1946) by her mother Marion Margaret Violet Lindsay Manners, Lady Granby and Duchess of Rutland (1856-1937). It is signed and dated 1901. Violet Manners exhibited extensively at all the major British Galleries including the Royal Academy. Her style was particularly suited to the interpretation of feminine beauty and elegance. Photogravure is a print-making process where a gelatine-coated copperplate is exposed to a film positive and then etched.
