Summary
A writing table, or bureau plat, English, late 19th century, in Louis XVI style. The top inset with a brown leather skiver, and with brass-mounted edge. Above three drawers to one frieze. One end fitted with a slide. The ends with lacquered brass foliate and floral mounts, and the corners mounted with brass flutes and pendant garlands. On four square-section tapering legs with brass caps and castors.
