Summary
An urn stand, one of a pair of giltwood urn stands, English, late 19th century. Of circular form and with moulded dished top edged with gadrooning. The moulding hung with scrolling acanthus above diaper-carved sides hung with husks, and with match-strike carved concaved corners. The feet formed from acanthus scrolls.

Date of acquisition not recorded; bequeathed by Margaret McEwan, The Hon. Mrs Ronald Greville (1863-1942) with Polesden Lacey, to the National Trust, in memory of her father, William McEwan (1827-1913) in 1942.
