Summary
An open armchair, one of a set of five beech and walnut chairs, East Anglia, 19th century, including one armchair [NT 1246121.5] and four standard chairs. This chair also including ash. This open armchair with a line-carved toprail and a back with a horizontal splat of two slender rails and three balls, a plain horizontal rail below. The seat dished and between downswept arms on baluster-turned arm supports. All raised on tapering square-section front legs, outswept rear legs and side stretchers.

On loan from Cedar House (CED/F/23), given to the National Trust in 1938.
