Summary
A mahogany kneehole desk, English, late 19th century. The top lined with leatherette for writing within a moulded oak edge and above an arched kneehole between a pair of cupboard fitted with doors carved with vases of foliage and on plinth bases.

Date of acquisition not recorded; bequeathed by Margaret McEwan, The Hon. Mrs Ronald Greville (1863-1942) with Polesden Lacey, to the National Trust, in memory of her father, William McEwan (1827-1913) in 1942.
