A scrapbook with black leather effect covers with gold trim and black pages, with layers of protection between pages. The scrapbook details the restoration of the Morning room 1985-86, with photos of before and during process, and leaflets advertising after. The book includes images of different redecoration schemes throughout the history of the room, from an 1891 photograph onwards, name and details of the company that recreated the frieze, photographs of restoration work on the frieze and repainting of the ceiling in progress, scale drawings of the ceiling paper, stencils and samples of wallpaper, as well as a photograph of the original and replacement carpet. The book includes an introduction letter from R.J.H. Whitworth Esquire, Historic Buildings Representative. Included inside the covers is a loose bundle of samples of a Lincrusta frieze.
