Summary
A historic system comprising of a Crompton Generator Patent No. 1097, direct current, compound wound, double magnet, 'Trade' type dynamo 110V, 90 Amps at 790rpm. Crompton Dynamo – was connected to the from the turbine shaft directly to a Crompton ‘Field’ type compound wound, 2-pole, double-magnet dynamo No. 1097, rated at 90amps, 110 volts at 790 rpm, and developing 13.37 horsepower manufactured circa 1884 and installed at Burnfoot in 1886, situated in the Generation House of the Debdon Burnfoot Power House.
