Summary

Instrument stand, round wooden base with screw fitting. Possibly for use with the Apps induction coils. A Manometer pressure gauge consisting of a glass capillary tube, bent twice and containing mercury, is currently attached to the base.

Provenance

Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
