Summary
Punch bowl in silver with relief decoration of bunches of grapes and running circles, enclosing flowers along rim. Silver gilt interior. Armstrong crest on one side and another shield on opposite side with inscription. Makers are Reid and Sons, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Hallmark is Lion, leopard's Head, N and Queen Victoria also W.B.J. initials in a shield alongside the hallmark.
Provenance
Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
