Summary
A black round wooden base with a stump, moss and fern display for a bird or animal which is now missing (.2), under a glass dome which has a red velvet trim around the base and a label, 'Killed at Redworth Co Durham 1884' (.1).
Provenance
Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
