Summary
Collection of forty two bayonet cap clear glass Royal Ediswan bulbs with pointed ends including the following candlepower and volts, 100-8-A, 100-16-A, 50-8-A.64, 90-8-A36, 90-16-B, 100-16-A64, made in early 1900s for general use. Two are still in their original 'Ediswan' tissue wrappings; printed 'Hints to Users' in black on each wrapping.
Provenance
Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
