An English Translation of a Certificate, paper, of Order of the White Elephant, from the office of King Prajadhipok, Rama VII of Siam (1893 - 1941), granted to William John Montagu Watson-Armstrong, 2nd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1892 - 1972), dated 11 September 1934 (C.E.), signed by Prince Narisara Nuwattiwon (1863 - 1947), with circular illustration top centre, in ebonised frame. Transcription reads: Signed on behalf of his majesty the King [signature] NARISRANUVATTIWONGS Samdech Phra Paramindra Mana Prajaonipok Phra Pok Klao, King of Siam, Sovereign and Chief of the Most Exalted Order of the WHITE ELEPHANT To all and singular to whom these presents shall come. Whereas we have deemed it fit and proper to center on Captain W.J.M. Watson-Armstrong the 3rd class of Our Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant, We, therefore, nominate and appoint him a Commander of the said Most Exalted Order. Given on the 11th day of September B.E. 2477 being the 10th year of Our Reign. [signature] COLONEL PHYA PHAHOL PHOLPHAYUHA SENA President of the State Council.
