Summary
A 6-5 tile from a set of 21 dominoes, the top half white ivory with black pips and a metal pin, the lower half plain black ebony. From an incomplete set of domino gaming pieces contained in a box (lid missing), ebony and ivory with original wooden box, late 19th or early 20th century.
Provenance
Believed to be Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
