Summary
Late 19th Century French repeater and strike carriage clock contained in an ebonised case, 8-day French movement, twin spring barrel action, platform lever escapement with hour and half-hour strike on wire gong, back plate inscribed 'No.2479'; applied, pierced and shaped silver mounts of figures and garlands of flowers and pattern on two sides and top platform; the dial with pierced silver spandrels, having putti figures and scroll and floral decoration, raised on bracket feet.
