Summary
A dark red velvet cover or antimacassar for the back of one of a pair of lady's occasional easy chairs upholstered in red buttoned leather on ebonised turned legs by Gillows of Lancaster, to match F/81-82.
Provenance
Armstrong collection. Transferred by the Treasury to The National Trust in 1977 via the National Land Fund, aided by 3rd Baron Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside (1919 - 1987).
