South facing - Phoenix/bird surmounted by an arch containing a double helix motif possibly Celtic. Base of font has a foliate design. A scene showing foliage or a tree with fruit surrounds the whole of the column with a large, long-tailed bird and serpent amongst foliage. Below, a mythical four-legged animal attempting to climb the foliage.
