An oval head-and-shouldders portrait of a woman, facing, head inclined slightly to the right, in a dark blue hunting jacket with back collar, over red waistcoat with brass buttons, white stock, dark greey bowler hat. Blue eyes, auburn hair. Plain brown background. Daughter of the Duke of Sutherland, later wife of First Viscount Chaplin. Lock of hair in reverse of frame
