Summary
A mahogany duet stool, British, early 20th century, the long rectangular padded seat flanked on each sort end with out-turned armrests, upholstered in pink velvet with pale trim, with shaped apron on all sides, on four square-section tapering legs joined by a H-stretcher. The underside of the stool with a partial stamp which is probably a round stamp containing the Londonderry cypher below a coronet and centred with an E. This is thought to be the stamp of Edith, Lady Londonderry and can be found on several pieces of furniture at Mount Stewart.
