Summary
A walnut and burr walnut low occasional table, British, 19th century, the quarter-veneered table top with moulded pie-crust rim, mounted on a baluster-turned shaft with tripod base formed of three cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The underside of the table top applied with a small round white sticker with handwriting reading '83'. The underside of the tripod base stamped 'MUIRHEAD [....]T & CO. -GLASGOW', this is the most likely the stamp for Muirhead Moffat & Co, dealers in antiques, works of art, stage furniture etc. known to be operating from 132-136 Blythswood St. Glasgow, circa 1956.
