Continental silver patch box. Oval shape with domed, patterned lid with studded centre panel, probably a nutmeg grater, possibly Dutch, early 19th century, unmarked.
Provenance
Gifted to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976 then erroneously inventoried as on loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976 and subsequently purchased by the National Trust from the Estate of Lady Mairi Bury 2012.
