Jewelled gold presentation cigarette case, apparently unmarked, circa 1900, rectangular, frosted, the front inset at the corners with rose diamond Turkish crescents and stars around a central tughra, the interior with a presentation inscription: From Sultan Abdül Hamid II, Sultan of the Turks (1842-1918) to Viscount Castlereagh Royal Horse Guards, who, accompanied by Viscount Wolsley KP headed a mission to announce the accession of King Edward VII, 1901.
