Summary
A walnut lectern, probably English, mid 19th century The leather-covered slope with shaped book-rest fitted with wrought iron candle holders, the twist turned baluster frame with turned stretchers. Adapted for electricity with imitation candles.
Provenance
On loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1980, then accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013.
