Summary
An upholstered heath stool, British, late 19th century, of long rectangular form on shaped end supports joined by a stretcher, all covered in blue velvet, the stool topped with a down-filled cushion also covered with blue velvet and two bands of bullion braid, each corner of the cushion should have a decorative tassel (three missing).
Provenance
On loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976, then accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013.
