Summary
A Portuguese, Jose A. Cunha, green glazed circular pottery bowl of Palissy type, c.1900, typically encrusted with a lizard, frog, worms and insects on shredded clay ground, decorated in naturalistic glazes, impressed marks.
Provenance
On loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976, then accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013.
