Summary
Royal blue crepe evening dress, c.1960-1970 with a fitted bodice and short sleeves embellished with rows of sequins. The label reads 'This garment to be dry cleaned only'. The dress belonged to writer Dame Agatha Christie (1890-1976). She was photographed wearing the dress, together with a fur stole, to the premier of the film Murder on the Orient Express (based on her 1934 novel of the same title) in London in 1974.
