Summary
Triptych of woodblock prints on paper, View of Futamigaura, by Utagawa Hiroshige (Edo 1797 - Edo 1858), depicting six women, four with parasols and two with wide hats, walking along the sea shore at the Futami Okitama Shrine, dedicated to the goddess Miketsu, at Meoto Iwa, Futami, Mie, Japan.
Provenance
Possibly purchased by the Beale family in Japan during their world tour, 1907. An invoice from Mizoroki & Co. lists an 'old coloured print by Hiroshige' which possibly relates to this print (or 1214765.1). The print cost the Beales 8,000 yen.
