Summary
One of a pair of mahogany open armchairs, probably Morris & Co., circa 1890. Each with wavy toprail, central carved arch and reeded ears, above a pierced and interlaced vase splat, the arms with incurved front supports, the drop-in seat covered in embossed Utrecht velvet and with gadrooned edge frieze rail, standing on cabriole legs carved with leaf detail to the knees and spandrels and terminating in claw and ball feet.
