Summary
One armchair from a set of eight ladder-back chairs, English, circa 1890. Originally in the Servants' Hall and purchased from Maple & Co. London. Including a pair of open armchairs in oak, the chairs in oak (two) and walnut (four), each rectangular back with square-section uprights, toprail and horizontal bars, a rush seat with plain frieze rails and standing on turned legs joined by stretchers, the armchairs with shaped flattened arms and turned front supports.
