Summary
Jug, stoneware, body rising to a high rounded shoulder, upright neck with pouring lip, strap handle from neck to shoulder, standing on a narrow foot with rounded foot rim, domed cover with thumb spur made from EPNS, the jug made by Royal Doulton, Lambeth, 1877, the cover by Atkin Brothers, Sheffield; extensive moulded, impressed and applied decoration to the surface, including a evenly spaced flowers with long stems around the body, with zones of impressed leaf forms around the body with leaf shaped reliefs, applied rosettes around the shoulder, coloured in blue and brown glazes.

Emma A. Burrows was an assistant to the Doulton Ware artists at Doulton & Co's Lambeth Art Studio and worked on this jug.
