Summary
A stained pine travelling chest, English, late 19th/early 20th century. With hinged lid with applied aprons. Each end of the chest fitted with a black metal carry handle and backplate. The right proper end with stencilled '2'. Applied skirting base moulding.
Provenance
Date of introduction to Greenway not recorded, but given to the National Trust by Mrs Rosalind Hicks (d. 2004), Anthony Hicks (d. 2005) and Mathew Prichard in 2006, and accepted in 2007.
