Summary
Wallpaper Box 6 - Reference Sample. Border. Design of white lilies, malachite-green leaves and buff stems on stewart-blue background. Crace? c.1840. Mounted on card under acetate. Note - white lilies are printed over dark blue ground - hand screen or block. Machine wont leave background white to show lilies.
Provenance
Part of the Bedingfeld Collection. The house was given to the National Trust in 1952 by Sybil, Lady Bedingfeld (1883-1985), her daughter Mrs Greathead, and her niece Violet Hartcup.
