Materials
Machine made paper. Yellow distemper ground, glazed in solvent based varnish with hand blocked flock. Chrome yellow / Indian Yellow ground. Original colour of flock may have been a yellow organic dyestuff, since faded. Either an Indian yellow or a chrome yellow ground with flock dyed using an organic dyestuff which may have faded (analysis may confirm likely date).

Provenance
May originally have hung in the Yellow Bedroom. Hung on the wallface. Campaign of Decoration: 6th Baronet, Phase 1 c 1830/40. A finely printed example on a rich varnished yellow ground. This was obvously an important paper and may even have been designed by Thomas Willament.
