Summary
Pink flock and gilt wallpaper. Red faded to pink. (V&A description). Rococo arabesque, block printed in 2 shades of crimson flock on an embossed gilded ground. 1841-1851. (Allyson McDermott's description).
Provenance
c 1840-51. See Alyson McDermott's Oxburgh report for detailed discussion: "Investigation into the use of wallpapers at Oxburgh Hall, Norfolk. April 2013." Part of the Bedingfeld collection. Despite this room being part of the 1830's structural works, the paper seems later being similar in both design and technique to papers dating 1840-50. See report for details and comparison with known example. Original location: Dining Room.
