Summary
Biscuit fired terracotta ornamental urn, with handles and pedestal, very loosely based on the shape and decoration of two of the most celebrated examples of classical statuary: the Warwick Vase and the Medici Vase. Square stone plinth with moulded reliefs of a classical figure on each face.

Stamped 'PPC Co. Battersea works London'. 'PPC' is Patent Plumage Crucible Co, operating in Battersea from 1856 to 1881, when the company became the Morgan Crucible Co.
