Game counter - Part of a Japanese lidded laquered games box containing seven smaller lidded boxes, twelve small trays and various carved ivory and wood games pieces. This one of eleven counters contained within the small box .2. Each counter is of mother-of-pearl, rectangular with a perforated edge and an individual inscribed picture on one side of people and a pattern on the reverse.
